In this artist statement, I proudly present my creation: a magnificent Levi denim jacket adorned with the likeness of Trigger, the legendary guitar belonging to the iconic musician, Willie Nelson. This wearable artwork was brought to life through a live painting session during Willie Nelson’s concert in Birmingham, Alabama, in October 2023.

The jacket itself serves as a canvas for my artistic expression, as I meticulously painted Trigger’s intricate details and unique character onto the denim fabric. With each stroke of the brush, I aimed to capture the essence of this revered instrument, reflecting its rich history and the indelible mark it has left on the world of music.
